Welcome to NIPPON MEDICAL CLINIC

Since our opening in October 1993, our physicians and staff have been dedicated to provide first quality Japanese-English medical services. Our physicians are all board certified or eligible in their own specialities. Our staff is qualified and bilingual. We are conveniently located in West Los Angeles, near the intersection of I-405 (San Diego Freeway) and I-10 (Santa Monica Freeway), in the Sawtelle community of Japanese businesses, shops, and restaurants, that dates back to 1945. We are located near UCLA, Santa Monica College, Los Angeles International Airport, Beverly Hills, and Century City. We are about thirty minutes by car from downtown Los Angeles, Universal City, South Bay (Gardena and Torrance), San Fernando Valley, and Hollywood; about sixty minutes from Palos Verdes, Long Beach, and San Gabriel Valley; and about seventy five minutes from Orange County. This puts us in the middle of everything in Southern California.

Hours of Operation

NIPPON MEDICAL CLINIC is open by appointment from 0900 to 1700 Monday through Friday, 0900 through 1200 Saturdays. We are closed all major holidays. We have limited capacity to accommodate additional walk-in or emergency patients, but please expect a variable waiting time, especially if you come in without an appointment with a non-emergency condition.

Outside of our operating hours, we provide a telephone service which is connected to a voice mail system. If you have a medical emergency, please access the appropriate mailbox and, speaking clearly and slowly, leave your area code, telephone number, and extension or room number. You will receive a return call from a Japanese/English speaking physician or nurse within a few minutes; please hang up the telephone after you leave the message so that our staff can return your call without getting a busy signal. We can not reach you if your phone is busy or if you leave an incomplete or unintelligible phone number.

Payment Policy at NIPPON MEDICAL CLINIC

Payment for all charges incurred during a visit at NIPPON MEDICAL CLINIC is due at the time of service, unless specific payment arrangements are made in advance. As a courtesy for those patients whose medical insurance is expected to cover the entire or a partial amount of the charges, we will bill them one time on your behalf; it is the responsibility of the patient to submit all subsequent billing to his/her insurance company. As a courtesy for those patients who prefer to pay with a credit card, NIPPON MEDICAL CLINIC accepts VISA, MasterCard, and Diner's Club. As a courtesy for those patients who are poor and unable to pay at the time of service, payment plans and/or discounts can be arranged, but only in advance of receiving the actual service.
